Rosemary Buchanan (Yorks), age 79, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on March 13, 2026, peacefully at home following a short illness.

On November 20, 1949 she was born in Carleton, Michigan, the daughter of Willis Yorks, Jr. and Florence McDowell. On September 25, 1969 she married Larry Buchanan in Edison, Ohio and together they shared 45 years. After moving to Ohio she lived in Edison with her husband and family until 1989. During this time they lived in Florida approximately for 2 years around 1969, then back to Edison. Then they moved to Marion, Ohio until November of 1990. Then moved to Mansfield where she resided the rest of her life.

Rosemary had worked in food service in state corrections for approximately 16 years. She also worked at CVS and Kroger Deli and had her cosmetology and insurance licenses. Rosemary was always willing to help others. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her kids and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Kelly (Jodi Lewis) Buchanan of Columbus and Brian Buchanan of Mansfield; daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) McVey of Mansfield; granddaughter, Brittany (James) Caldwell of Mansfield; grandson, Jason (Leah) Berry of Mansfield, grandson, Chandler (Chalene), Buchanan of Columbus, granddaughter, Holly (Sean) Gore of Mansfield, granddaughter, Cayla Buchanan of Marion, granddaughter, Kelli (Tyler) Hogg of Marion, grandson, Dakota (Alysha Price) Moore of Mansfield, granddaughter, Alicia Buchanan of Ashland, step granddaughter, Hannah (Collin) Beeson of Indiana, step granddaughter, Morgan (Troy) McVey of Columbus, step grandson, Trent Lewis of Columbus and numerous great grandchildren. Brother, Bill (Julie) Yorks of Michigan, sister, Janice Houseman of Michigan, sister, Reva Cavins of Michigan, brother, Keith (Karen) Yorks of Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews. Family friends Jen Whyel and Noah Kocher.

She was preceded in death by her husband of life, Larry Alan Buchanan, brother-in-law Keith Houseman, brother- in-law Tom Cavins, brother-in-law, Donald Buchanan, brother-in-law, Max Buchanan, brother-in-law, David Buchanan, brother-in-law, Gary Buchanan and brother-in-law, Keith Buchanan.
