Jack Huff, age 72, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. A respected businessman, community leader, and founder of Chicago Title Agency of North Central Ohio, Inc., Jack lived a life marked by integrity, dedication, and a deep love for his community.

Jack was born on September 13, 1953, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Jack and Garnet Bartram Huff. He attended Madison Comprehensive High School, where he played football, and later graduated from Lucas High School.

Following graduation, Jack entered public service at the Richland County Recorder’s Office. He went on to work with local attorney William H. For more than four decades, Jack guided clients through some of life’s most meaningful milestones with professionalism, steadiness, and genuine care. His leadership influenced not only the success of the company but also the careers and lives of countless colleagues and friends.

Known for his sharp wit, generous spirit, and steady presence, Jack had a gift for making people feel seen and valued. Whether in the office, at community events, or around the family table, he brought people together with ease, sincerity, and humor. He was a devoted supporter of local athletics and proudly sponsored softball and baseball teams, as well as other sporting teams throughout the area. He was a longtime supporter of local athletics, leaving a lasting impact on the youth who benefited from his generosity. A lifelong sports fan, Jack followed many teams and players with enthusiasm.

At the center of his life was his family. He married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Huff (Orewiler), and together they shared 52 years of marriage filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. He was the proud father of two children, Heather R. Huff (Patrick Wischmeier) and Zachary R. Huff (Amy Huff), who carry forward his values of hard work, kindness, and perseverance. Nothing brought Jack greater joy than his six granddaughters—Olivia Rayburn (Chayce), Hayley Huff, Taylor Huff, Ava Huff, Isabella Deel, and Sophia Deel—each of whom he adored and celebrated with boundless pride.

Jack is also survived by his sister, J. Diann Hittinger; special nephews Jobe Hittinger (Kerri) and Abel Hittinger (Somer); his lifelong friends M. John Ruehle, Jeff Miller, and J.C. Conley; and his loyal dog and companion, Zoey.

His legacy of leadership, generosity, and compassion will continue to shape his family, business, and community for years to come.

Per Jack’s request, there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
