MANSFIELD — Element of Art Studio & Gallery has served as a creative space in downtown Mansfield for 16 years.
The facility supports artists living with developmental disabilities through consistent studio time, professional opportunities, and meaningful community connection.
“At Element of Art, we create art every day. But the true masterpiece is the community we build and the confidence our artists carry with them,” said Emma Beeson, art coordinator.
Element of Art operates as both a working studio and a public gallery. Inside the studio, artists work side by side, developing their skills, building confidence, and creating original artwork for exhibition and sale.

The gallery is open to the public, offering visitors the chance to explore the space, meet the artists, and experience the creative energy of the studio firsthand. Guests can view and purchase original artwork while learning about the artists and their process.
For many visitors, the experience offers a new perspective on the power of art to build confidence, independence, and community. Each visit supports local artists while helping foster a more inclusive arts environment in Mansfield.
Community members can also experience the studio through hands-on events and workshops. A “Spinning Mandala” workshop will take place on March 18 at 5 p.m., offering a creative experience for all skill levels. The cost is $10.
On June 2 at 10 a.m., Element of Art will host “Wild About Art” in partnership with Gorman Nature Center, where visitors can see live animals and create a themed art project. Additional details about upcoming programs are shared on Element of Art Studio’s Facebook page.
As a long-standing part of downtown Mansfield, Element of Art continues to promote inclusion through art while creating opportunities for connection between artists and the community.
More information about workshops, events, and visiting hours can be found on Element of Art Studio’s Facebook page.
