Paul Louis Gosser, 86, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at his residence. Paul was born on May 15, 1939, in Shelby, Ohio, to the late Louis and Marie (Miller) Gosser.

Paul graduated from Springfield Township High School in 1957 and went on to faithfully serve his country in the United States Army, achieving the rank of SPC-4. He earned two bachelor’s degrees-one in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and another in Agriculture-and spent much of his life dedicated to farming. His love for the land and commitment to agriculture were central to who he was, shaping not only his career but his values and the life he built for his family.

He married his beloved wife, Brenda (Samples) Gosser, on February 20, 1971. Together, they shared 54 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and joy.

Paul was a man of quiet strength and many passions. A devoted member of the Knights of Columbus, he served as Grand Knight with dedication and pride. He generously gave his time volunteering at the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, reflecting his love for nature and all living creatures. At home, he could often be found tending to his beloved chickens or caring for his cherished 100-year-old fern, a testament to his patience and nurturing spirit.

An avid golfer and lifelong fan of Marilyn Monroe, Paul enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. A man of few words, he was a true jack of all trades, always ready to fix, build, or solve any problem that came his way. He had a sharp mind and a love of learning, spending countless hours reading, tackling puzzles, and solving crosswords, always keeping his curiosity alive. Those who knew Paul will remember his gentle humor, his quiet wisdom, and the unique way he touched the lives of everyone around him.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Gosser; his children, Kevin (Tara) Gosser of Crestline, Mike (Mel) Gosser of Sunbury, Steve (Jodie) Gosser of Crestline, Greg (Rana) Gosser of Crestline, and Amy (Bryan) Hackedorn of Mansfield; 11 cherished grandchildren; one great-grandchild, with another on the way; and his siblings, Ruth Hirt of Dayton, David Gosser of Arkansas, and Leo Gosser of Florida.
