BUCYRUS — A 52-year-old Bucyrus man was arrested Thursday after an investigation into child pornography possession.
Anthony E. Vanhouten was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center.
He was jailed pending charges of pandering obscenity, involving a minor, according to Crawford County Sheriff Scott Kent.

The sheriff’s office on Thursday at 2:17 p.m executed a search warrant at 3591 Holmes Center Road, according to Kent.
Vanhouten, who the sheriff said was the target of the investigation, was arrested before the search warrant was executed.
“Several electronic items were seized from the residence during the execution of the search warrant,” Kent said.
Child pornography was found on the devices that were seized as evidence, according to the sheriff.
Kent said a report will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of additional charges.
Kent, Lt. Craig Moser and and Det. Tyler Winkelman encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activity to the sheriff’s office at 419-562-7906 or by submitting a tip on the sheriff’s department app.
