ASHLAND: Actions prove who someone is – words just prove who they want to be. Linda Rodman’s true character was revealed by her behavior, not just promises. Remembered as a Godly woman who embraced her Christian faith, Linda lived out her convictions on a daily basis with loving compassion for her family and a “direct line to God” in prayer. Her beatific smile and comforting spirit was encouraging and cheering. The consistency of her love and actions supported her Christian beliefs – it’s just who Linda was. She wanted her family to follow her example – not just her advice.

Her faith became sight Wednesday, December 17, 2025, as the Lord called Linda to Himself from The Cleveland Clinic, while she was surrounded by loving family. She was 74.

Born Linda Elaine Yoho on April 15, 1951 in Ashland, she was graduated from Ashland High School in 1969. The following year, she married Thomas Orlo Rodman on May 22.

An insightful and multi-faceted woman, Linda’s many interests centered on the arts. Every holiday (even the minor ones) was an excuse to decorate the house and host an event to celebrate the occasion. Her events included some delicious cooking: Linda made wonderful manicotti, lasagna, meatloaf, hamballs, and yakisoba – a dish she grew to love while living in Japan when Tom was stationed there.

Japan was one of her favorite destinations – though she thought Tom would have been better off if she had not gone, as she “got him in trouble” when she was there!. And she loved any trip to the beach.

A gifted tole painter, her detailed designs included landscapes, wild life, and still lifes – but was her own worst critic.
In 2022 she earned the Ashland County Fair Rosette in Domestic Culinary Arts – Best of Show – for her orange cake balls, while also amassing the most blue ribbons in the bake show of the fair. Annually, Linda earned numerous blue ribbons at the county fair for her baking. Along with being the best Grandma ever – she was the best baker ever (just ask Taylor).

A canine lover, through the years, she and Tom had either Shetland Sheepdogs or Keeshonds as faithful companions.

Remembered as a hero and cheerleader to her family, their world was changed by her example – not just her opinion.

Linda was formerly president of North Central Ohio Purchasing Association, the former head of the board of trustees of Faith United Methodist Church in Twinsburg where she also taught Sunday school, and served as a lecturer for Weight Watchers.

She retired as Materials Manager, with 25 years of service to Arrow Electronics, and was currently a member of Ashland Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter Kristi (Nick) Farina of Novelty; granddaughters Taylor Tracy of Novelty and Kelly (Joe) Farina of Cuyahoga Falls; great granddaughter Gabriella Rose; father Neil Yoho of Ashland; brother Doug (Vicki) Yoho of Savannah and sister Mary (Robert) Knowlton of Mansfield; brother-in-law Christopher (Cindy) Rodman of Tiro; nieces and nephews, and her Sheltie canine companion Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Rodman on May 4, 2025, and also by her mother Imogene (Cothren) Yoho on May 20, 2018.

The Rodman family will receive guests Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Ashland Church of Christ, 1185 County Road 1356, Ashland, OH 44805. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 1 p.m. led by Pastor Tim Nowlin. The Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield, is handling funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Cardiac Research Unit, or Ashland Church of Christ, or Ashland County Humane Society.

It’s been said that faith is seeing light with your heart, when all your eyes see is darkness. Linda’s faith, now sight, is bright with her Savior, and those who have gone before her. She was a living example of:
“ For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” Romans 1:16 ESV
