Centerburg overcame a spirited challenge and rallied for a 54-34 win against Cardington-Lincoln during this Ohio girls high school basketball game on Dec. 19.

Cardington-Lincoln showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out an 8-6 advantage over Centerburg as the first quarter ended.

The Trojans’ shooting jumped in front for a 23-15 lead over the Pirates at halftime.

Centerburg roared to a 39-19 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Both teams scored evenly in the final quarter to make it 54-34.

Last season, Centerburg and Cardington-Lincoln faced off on Dec. 20, 2024 at Centerburg High School.

In recent action on Dec. 9, Centerburg faced off against Mt Gilead and Cardington-Lincoln took on Galion Northmor on Dec. 12 at Northmor High School.
