Jeffry “Jeffy Joe” Joseph Billow, 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Avita Health System Galion Community Hospital. Jeffry was born in Alhambra, CA, to the late Joseph Billow and surviving Camille (Hoover) Moffat on May 12, 1956.
He graduated from Galion High School, class of 1974.
Jeff, a proud journeyman, spent many years working for Covert, where his dedication and skill earned him the respect of his colleagues until his retirement in 2011. Beyond his professional life, Jeffry was a man with a zest for life. He loved nothing more than hitting the golf course, cruising on his Harley, and spending quiet afternoons tinkering on woodworking projects. His talent didn’t stop there; he had a creative side that shone through in his drawings, paintings, and sketches, capturing glimpses of the world around him.
He cherished every moment spent with his family. His daughter, Christina and the little ones, Savanah and Izaiyah, were the lights of his life. He found joy in playing pool with friends in leagues, savoring his favorite drink, Metaxa, and blasting his anthem, “Bad to the Bone” by George Thorogood, encouraging all to join in on a good time.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. “Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday,” is a well-known quote that Jeff lived by.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother: Camille Moffat; wife: Cathy Billow; daughter: Christina Billow; grandchildren: Savanah Byers, Izaiyah Billow, with a great-grandchild on the way; his siblings: Eric, Regina, Rene, Crete, Barry, Sherri, Sandy, and Scott.
