MANSFIELD — Hamilton Insurance Group, Inc. in partnership with the Mansfield Rotary Club teed up community spirit and delivered big results, raising $13,773 for the Mansfield Police Department’s K-9 Unit during their first-ever golf outing on Aug. 1.
The donation, presented on Aug. 8 at the Mansfield City Building, will help keep the department’s highly trained police dogs equipped, healthy, and ready to serve the community for years to come.
Mayor Jodie Perry expressed her gratitude, saying, “The City is very thankful to the Mansfield Rotary Club, Hamilton Insurance Agency and the other sponsors who helped put such a successful event together.
“These donated funds allow us to keep our K-9 program active and serving the citizens for years to come.”
Police Chief Jason Bammann emphasized the importance of community support for the unit.
“Our K9 program is a vital component of our daily operations, serving as an essential resource in fulfilling our mission to preserve life, protect property, and reduce crime in our community,” Bammann said. “Sponsorships play a crucial role in sustaining this program by providing the funding necessary for ongoing training and equipment.”

“When the Mansfield K-9 Unit presented at one of our Rotary meetings, Neil Hamilton, our president, and I were both moved by their work. Our management team came together and decided to launch our first-ever golf outing to raise funds—and we’re proud to see the incredible impact it will have.
“These dollars will directly support the K-9s in their daily mission to protect and serve Mansfield.”

The Mansfield Police K-9 Unit plays a critical role in public safety through narcotics detection, suspect apprehension, search and rescue operations, and community outreach.
The funds from the golf outing will help cover costs associated with specialized training, veterinary care, and essential equipment to keep the unit strong and effective.
