Robert H. “Bob” Rudd

Robert H. “Bob” Rudd, 70, of Galion, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at his home after a yearlong illness.

Bob was born in Renick, West Virginia, on Nov. 19, 1945 to the late Giley and Maggie (Holmes) Rudd.

Bob graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1965 and then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Komatsu Dresser in Galion and retired from HTI as a machinist. Bob was a proud member of the Ironworker’s Union in Galion.

A member of Valley View Golf Course, Bob loved the game of golf. He was able to fulfill his dream of playing golf at Green Briar Country Club.

He is survived by his two sons, Robert E. Rudd, of Galion, and Troy A. Rudd, of Crestline; his special friend Mary Ann Tome, of Galion; the mother of his sons, Judy Rudd, of Crestline; his two brothers, Rupert Rudd, of New Washington, and Dale and Fran Rudd, of Virginia; and his sister, Nancy and Kenny Shuster, of Galion. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Ryan A. Rudd on April 7, 2007; his sister, Georgie Kelso; and his three brothers, Rushel, Cedric, and Cecil Rudd.

At Bob’s request no services will be held. The Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline is honored to serve the family of Robert Rudd.
