MOHICAN TOWNSHIP — A 61-year-old truck driver from Texas suffered serious injuries Sunday in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 near Township Road 405 at about 7:34 p.m.

According to the Ashland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Dwayne Glazier of Keller, Texas, was driving a 2019 Freightliner truck and trailer eastbound on U.S. 30 and traveled off the north side of the eastbound lanes.

The truck struck the center median, rolled over, struck a culvert, struck roadway signs, and came to a final rest within the westbound lanes of U.S. 30 and the center median, according to troopers.

Glazier was extricated from the truck and transported by Jeromesville Fire Department to UH Ashland Samaritan Hospital. He was later transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital with serious injuries.

U.S. 30 westbound lanes between Ohio 89 and Township Road 405 were closed for
approximately 4.5, according to the patrol, which said the crash remains under investigation.

Troopers were assisted by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Jeromesville Fire Department, Hayesville Fire Department, Ashland County Emergency Management Agency, The Ohio Department of Transportation, Aber’s Towing & Crane Service of Ashland and Hook-N- Haul Recovery Repair Towing & Transport of Litchfield, Ohio.
