Linda L. Means, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on April 16, 2025. She was 81.

She was born on September 7, 1943 in Shelby, Ohio to her father Maxwell French, and mother and step-father Beatrice (Orewiler) and Eugene Hall. Linda married the love of her life Kenneth C. Means, and spent many wonderful years together until his passing in 1968. They are now reunited together again in Heaven.

Linda was a longtime employee of General Motors, where she worked in the stamping plant until her retirement.

Linda was a woman of deep and unwavering faith, whose life was a reflection of her love for the Lord. A devoted, longtime member of Diamond Hill Cathedral, she dedicated many years to serving her church family in various roles. From the opening of the Bible Walk museum in 1987, Linda joyfully guided countless visitors through its halls as a tour guide, sharing biblical stories with grace and passion until her illness no longer allowed her to do so. She also faithfully served as an usher during church services, always greeting others with warmth and kindness. Linda had a heart for ministry and helping others, whether through a kind word, a warm smile, or a handmade crocheted gift. She found joy in worship music, teaching God’s Word, and reading her Bible daily. Always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear, Linda lived a life of service and devotion, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her sons Randall L. French and Kenneth G. (Loretta L.) Means both of Mansfield, Ohio, daughter Tammy L. Fox of Dalton, Ohio, siblings Sally Young and Terry (Bonnie) Hall both of Shelby, Ohio, grandchildren Krystal (Andrew) Elchert, Angela French, Kenny C. (Kayla) Means, as well as 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and one on the way.

In addition to her husband, Linda is preceded in death by her father Maxwell French mother and step-father Beatrice and Eugene Hall, sister Mary Jane French, brother Maxwell French, and step-brothers Martin Hall and Ronald Hall.

A graveside service for Linda will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 1 pm in Bellville Cemetery. Pastor Mel Schroeder will speak.
