Susan Lois Fuson, 73, of Crestline, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at The Good Shepherd in Ashland.
Susan was born on July 19, 1951, in Crestline, Ohio to the late Edwin and Helen (Speelman) Shepard.
Susan found immense joy in exploring the great outdoors, often embarking on peaceful walks to connect with the beauty around her. She had a passion for playing computer games, especially word games and hidden object puzzles. Susan will be lovingly remembered as having a kind-hearted soul who had an unwavering love for animals, particularly cats. Her greatest joy though, was her family, and she treasured the memories made with them.
Left to cherish Susan’s memories are her children: William John (Leslie Burns) Offerle of Galion and Laurie (Mike) Lewis Jr., of Crestline; her grandchildren; Nichole (Greg Fannin) Bailey, Damian Lewis, Grover (Jordan Hiser) Lewis III, Ruth Lewis, Hannah Lambert, Ashley Offerle, Shawn Offerle, Tiffany Doss and Alex Doss; 17 great-grandchildren; and her sisters; Linda (Wayne) Biglin, Mary Miller and Diana (John) Hayes; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Offerle; brothers; Melvin and Paul Shepard; and her nephew, JJ Hayes.
The family will observe a private service, and Susan will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society, serving Crawford County.
