MANSFIELD – The Kaleidoscope Speaker Series is thrilled to announce that Sarah Brokaw, psychotherapist, author, and expert in personal growth, will take the stage on Thursday, May 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Theatre.
The event, which is open to the public, will explore how individuals of all ages can embrace life’s transitions with resilience, authenticity, and grace.
Sarah Brokaw is celebrated for her bestselling book, Fortytude: Making the Next Decade the Best Decade of Your Life.
As a psychotherapist and certified coach, she has spent years helping people navigate major life changes. Her work highlights how we can face fear, overcome personal challenges, and approach aging with a sense of empowerment.
“The Kaleidoscope Speaker Series has the ability to bring in diverse perspectives from nationally-known authors and help us foster meaningful conversations to build a stronger, more connected community in Richland County,” said Allie Watson, President and CEO of the Richland County Foundation.

In addition to being a bestselling author, Brokaw’s extensive professional background includes specialized training in family and couples therapy and work in trauma resiliency.
She has provided therapy to individuals impacted by 9/11 and has conducted workshops for women from all walks of life, helping them create more authentic and connected lives.
Brokaw’s work is a testament to the power of vulnerability, self-awareness, and community support.
This event is part of the Kaleidoscope Speaker Series, which brings nationally recognized speakers to Mansfield to discuss topics that inspire positive change.
Past speakers have addressed a variety of critical social, cultural, and psychological issues, always with the aim of fostering a more vibrant and inclusive community.
Guiding the evening’s discussion will be Jessica Hiser, Director of Marketing and Advertising for Spherion Mid Ohio.
With over a decade of experience in marketing, Jessica specializes in crafting impactful messaging and connecting people to solutions through strategic communication.
Hiser is deeply involved in the Mansfield community serving as board president for Downtown Mansfield Inc. and sitting on the boards of Buckeye Imagination Museum and Richland Academy of the Arts.
As a member of the Mansfield Rising team, she continues working toward revitalizing Mansfield.
The Kaleidoscope Speaker Series is presented by the Richland County Foundation, Mansfield/Richland County Public Library, Renaissance Performing Arts Association, and Richland Source.

As part of the upcoming Kaleidoscope: Community Conversation Series, the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library is launching the Community Conversations Book Club — a brand-new opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions inspired by this year’s thought-provoking themes.
The first gathering will take place on Thursday, April 17, at 6 p.m. at Relax, It’s Just Coffee (doors open at 5 p.m.), where participants will explore the theme “Finding Strength in Every Chapter of Your Life.”
