Joan Frances Tuttle Crummey, 89, of Lexington, Ohio passed away on February 23, 2025, just 35 days shy of her 90th birthday.

Joan was born on March 30, 1935 to John R. & Frances (Holmes) Tuttle in Northwood, New Hampshire. She was raised by her grandparents, and on May 16, 1953 she married William F. Crummey, with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage. In 1955, they moved to Richland County and together with him raised their family of five children.

She was very active in her church, Resurrection Parish, for many years, including Feed the Needy and nursing home luncheons. She was the very capable office manager/parts runner for their business Crummeys Auto Repair until their retirement. She loved her children dearly and adored her grandchildren. Our much loved Mom and “Grammy” has left this mortal life behind and has entered eternity where she now sees Jesus face to face.

Joan is survived by: daughters Diane Jackson and Mary Suzanne (Alan) Rehbein: son Tim (Laura) Crummey; grandchildren: Andrew (Ashley) Rehbein, Kent Rehbein, Scott (Jordan) Rehbein, Carolyn (Kyle) Kinzel, Aaron (Kaitlyn) Crummey, Rachael (Loren) Jackson, Stephanie Zias; siblings: Roberta Stearns, Peggy Wallace, John “Jumper” Tuttle, Dennis Tuttle, Jim Tuttle; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Joan was preceded in death by grandparents Emery J. and Lola Holmes; her parents, John Tuttle and Frances Wallace; husband William F. Crummey and sons Michael Crummey and Billy Crummey.

Joan’s family will receive friends Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 pm at Resurrection Parish where a funeral mass honoring her life will begin immediately at 1 p.m. Father Kishore will speak.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve (Formerly Hospice of North Central Ohio).
