Marcia Ann Bauer passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016 in Kingston of Ashland. She was 75.
She was born June 18, 1941 to parents Melvin and Cordella (Bartoszewski) Bauer in Mansfield.
Marcia worked at Hess & Clark in Ashland, Samaritan Hospital in Ashland and MedCentral Hospital as a Medical Technologist for over 45 years.
She was a long time member of Peace Lutheran Church in Ashland as well as a member of Mansfield Daughters of Herman Lodge.
In spare time, she took pleasure in playing softball and being part of a bowling league. Marcia also enjoyed spending time at her summer get away home on Lake Erie and riding her jet ski. But above all, Marcia cherished her friends and family, who will miss her quick wit and great sense of humor.
She is survived by sister-in-law Darlene Bauer, of Ashland; nephews Kyle (Connie) Hootman, of Perrysville, Matt Hootman, of Wooster and Dan (Terry) Bauer, of Columbus; Nieces Kristine (Phil) Wojdyla, of Fremont, Melissa (Tom) Keplinger, of Ashland and Kara Bauer, of Ashland; nine great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Melvin Bauer; mother Cordella Benton; Step-father Ralph Benton; brother Melvin Bauer Jr.; sister Pauline Hootman and a nephew Eric Bauer.
The Bauer family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring Marcia’s life will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1360 Smith Road, in Ashland. Pastor Richard Beal will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
