MANSFIELD — The Richland County Sheriff’s Office has announced the recent promotion of Correctional Officer Hannah Daniels to Correctional Sergeant.

“The Richland County Sheriff’s Office congratulates Sgt. Hannah Daniels and we look forward to continuing to carry out our mission in serving and protecting the residents of Richland County,” said sheriff Steve Sheldon.

The ceremony took place on Thursday, Jan. 16.

Sgt. Daniels was hired as a Correctional Officer in January 2023 and completed her Correctional Officer Academy shortly thereafter.

She graduated from Galion High School in 2021, received an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from North Central State College in 2021, and studied business at Franklin University.

Sgt. Daniels is currently assigned to 1st shift in the Jail Division for training and will be assigned as a B-watch Jail Supervisor when her training is completed.
