Edna Octavia Robertson, 92, of Tiro, OH, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at Liberty Nursing Center after an extended illness.
Edna was born December 4, 1932, in Ft. Gay, West Virginia to Abel and Anna Belle (Mounts) Scott. Edna was dedicated to her family and her home. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Edna, often called “Mama” in times of endearment and “Aukie” in times of joy and laughter, enjoyed baking, cooking, decorating, gardening, and shopping. She was often found enjoying the view outside, with her husband, Ed Robertson, while gardening, tending to the landscape, and sitting in their garage to discuss the day. They both enjoyed traveling and camping as a way to spend time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Everyone looked forward to her garden green beans with potatoes and ham, bread pudding, and chicken and dumplings. Everything she made was a reflection of the love and warmth she brought to her family.
She is survived by three children, Dianne (Roy Jr.) Carroll of Mansfield, OH, Donna (John) Atwell of Texas, and Gary Robertson of Perrysville, OH. Edna is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Edgar Robertson Jr.; brothers, Andrew Scott, Jimmy Scott, Larry Scott; sister, Barbara Gail Toler; daughter-in-law, Christine Robertson; grandchild, Jarod Robertson; great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Star Carroll-Peak.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2025, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH 44905. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Copley officiating. Burial will be in Lantz Cemetery, Mansfield.
