Betty Jean Gilliom, 89, of Mansfield, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 11, 2016. She was born to Elmer and Esther (Fuhrer) Gilliom, on August 7, 1926.

Betty was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She always lived by putting God first, then family and friends. She loved the church and loved the Lord. Betty spent 30+ years volunteering at Crestwood Care nursing home of Shelby, playing guitar and singing. She was very generous and giving to all. Betty retired from Interstate Optical after 23 years.

Betty is survived by her brother, John (Miriam) Gilliom of Arkansas; sisters, Mary Fulk and Frances Sorg, both of Mansfield, Helen (Jim) Burford and Dorothy (James) Chambers, both of Ontario; 16 nieces and nephews; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mary Ann Stotts.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret Miu.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Joseph Smith, will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Westside Baptist Church, 3720 W. 4th Street. Burial will follow at Lantz Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Westside Baptist Church.
