JEROMESVILLE — Hillsdale roared through its first playoff test in fine fashion on Friday night.

The second-seeded Falcons hammered Fairport Harbor Harding 55-12 in a Division VII, Region 25 first-round postseason clash in Jeromesville.

Owen Sloan ran for three touchdowns and Kael Lewis threw for three more scores as the Falcons roared to the easy win.

Lewis completed 12-of-18 passes for 221 yards and ran for 46 more yards. Hayden McFadden caught 10 passes for 131 yards and touchdowns of 19, 57 and 43 yards.

Coach Trevor Cline’s club climbed on top via Sloan’s 52-yard TD run in the first quarter, and it was off to the races from there.

The Falcons erupted for 29 points in the second quarter to take a 36-12 bulge into halftime.

Two more touchdowns in the third period triggered a running clock.

Hillsdale is now 10-1 and will host 9-2 Windham on Friday night. The seventh-seeded Bombers bombed Salineville Southern 50-35 in their playoff opener.

The 15th-seeded Skippers finished the season 5-6.
