Pearl M. Norris, age 74, of Lucas, OH died August 25, 2024 following a 12 day stay in the ICU after experiencing a cardiac arrest.
On November 21, 1949 she was born in Mansfield, OH the daughter of the late Robert Hudson and Clelia (Santamarie) Hudson.
Pearl was the proud mother of Buster (Christy) Norris, Chris (Wendy) Norris. Grandma to Shelby (Seth) Shearer, Jacob (Emily) Norris, Olivia Norris, Zoe Norris and Gunner Norris. Great Grandma to Kason and Emery Shearer.
Pearl lived a full life with many adventures and affectionately referred to herself as the gypsy grandma. She worked many different jobs and lived in several different states. Pearl would travel to new places she wanted to see. She would find work and settle in and take in all the area had to offer and report back on her wonderful journeys.
However, she would always come back home to spend time with and be close to her family and friends. She was always up for a good time; loved going out to eat and to local concerts with friends. Pearl was an excellent card player and especially enjoyed playing Euchre. Other times she just enjoyed going on a nice car ride through Amish country or often you may find her sitting on her back porch taking in the nature around her. Pearl was also an excellent cook and you could be sure no one would go hungry with her around.
Pearl was a strong willed and independent person which served her well through life. Those qualities took her many different places and helped her enjoy many different experiences. We will all miss her and hearing about those adventures.
The family would like to thank those that cared for her during her stay in the ICU at Ohio Health. They treated her with such care and concern as if she was their own mother or grandmother and we can’t express enough how much that was appreciated. We would also like to thank all of her friends and family that reached out with their caring words of support during her stay in the ICU.
A celebration of life will be held September 15, 2024 at Kindred Kove, 1710 Lorkay Dr, Mansfield, OH 44905. Family and friends may visit anytime between 1:00pm and 5:00pm and please dress comfortably. Light refreshments will be served.
