Jeneane Lomax Kindinger, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2024 surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Jeneane was born on July 28, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Ralph and Ruth (Stuff) Lomax but was raised in Mansfield, Ohio where she remained for the rest of her life. Jeneane was a graduate of Mansfield Senior in 1960 and continued into college, where she graduated from Ashland University in 1964, pursuing a career in teaching. She then married the love of her life, Ralph Kindinger, who preceded her in death in 2007 on August 7th, 1965. Jeneane and Ralph met at First Alliance Church, where they remained active members throughout their lives.

Jeneane is survived by her only son Roman Kindinger, daughter-in-law Brianne Kindinger, granddaughter Jordan (Alex) Jean, brother Art Lomax, niece Jalane (Bob) Miller, and nephews Jon Lomax and Luke Lomax.

Jeneane was a dedicated teacher and a lifelong learner. She retired from Lexington Local Schools, after teaching at Easton Elementary for 30 years. She loved riding her motorcycle to school when she could.

After retiring, Jeneane did not stop teaching. She loved leading youth programs at First Alliance, including Sunday School and Jr Church. She loved teaching kids about the Lord, especially her only granddaughter, Jordan.

Jeneane was also an animal lover. Nothing stopped her from taking in any strays but loved dogs the most, including her shitzu, Judah. Jeneane also loved feeding the wild animals that would come to her backyard, including albino o’possum’s, raccoons, and turkeys.
Overall, Jeneane spent her life taking care of others and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved playing games with her family, especially Wild Fire and Skip-O. She will truly be missed.

In addition to her parents, Jeneane is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Kindinger (2007) and brothers Ralph and Luther “Luke” Lomax.

Jeneane family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for the compassionate and wonderful care given to Jeneane in her final days.

The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve Jeneane’s family. Per Jeneane’s wishes, no memorial or burial service will be held. Close family will be honoring Jeneane in a private ceremony and will lay her to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park.
