MANSFIELD — Richland Public Health and the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics are partnering on a program to provide 100 bike helmets to children whose families qualify.
A “Put a Lid on it!” youth event is planned at the Buckeye Imagination Museum on Tuesday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Families in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program and Medicaid-eligible families are invited to the helmet giveaway, with free admission for the first 100 children accompanied by a parent receiving a helmet.
There will be a helmet decoration station, and free car seat checks by certified car seat technicians.
Buckeye Imagination Museum is at 175 W. Third St. Enter the parking lot off of West Third Street.
