GALION — Two Galion residents were arrested Wednesday after authorities reported discovering a “mobile” meth lab at their residence on Dawsett Avenue.

Korinthia Wireman, 24, is being held at Crawford County Jail pending manufacturing methamphetamine and drug abuse charges. Dustin Lowe, 28, is being held under drug abuse charges.

Upon arrival, Galion police notified METRICH and together they reported recovering evidence in the garage that revealed the couple using the “shake and bake” method, which authorities described as “volatile and extremely dangerous.”

“These situations are extremely dangerous. The chemicals and procedure associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine are highly volatile,” a Galion police press release stated. “We are very fortunate that we have experts available through our association with METRICH that have the ability to diffuse and clean up the contamination.”

The Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the case and its probe continues.
