Dixie M. Harding, 71, of Ashland, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born Nov. 8, 1944 in Elkhorn City, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Haley and Sarah (Ratliff) Haynes.
She retired from Mansfield General Hospital following 32 years of service. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church where she was very active. Dixie volunteered at food banks through the church and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed knitting, canning and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by three sons, Richard (Cindy) Harding, of Ashland, Alan (Diane) Harding, of Bucyrus and Bradley Harding, of Ashland; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Samuel Harding; five brothers; and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Derek Hickman. Burial will follow in Pavonia Cemetery.
