Police investigating death of infant

MANSFIELD – Mansfield Police are investigating the death of a 2-month-old male.

At approximately 8:19 a.m. Tuesday, emergency responders were sent to 107 Hedges St. in reference to a child having difficulty breathing.

The child was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and later passed away.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office and Mansfield Police Detectives are investigating the circumstances involving the death of the child.
