MANSFIELD — Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) announced Tuesday the details for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition.
High school students who live in Ohio’s Fourth Congressional District are encouraged to submit a piece of art for this year’s competition.
The Fourth Congressional District includes these counties:
- Allen
- Ashland
- Auglaize
- Champaign
- Delaware (partial)
- Logan
- Hardin
- Marion
- Morrow
- Richland
- Shelby (partial)
- Union
- Wyandot (partial)
The Fourth Congressional District includes these cities:
- Ashland
- Bellefontaine
- Columbus (partial)
- Delaware
- Dublin (partial)
- Lima
- Mansfield
- Marion
- Marysville
- Westerville (partial)
The competition began in 1982 to provide an opportunity for members of Congress to support and recognize the artistic talents of their young constituents.
Since then, over 650,000 high school students have been involved with the nationwide competition. The winning piece will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
Students wishing to participate should submit their artwork to one of the Congressman’s district offices in Mansfield (28 Park Avenue West, Suite 100A, Mansfield, Ohio 44902) or Lima (3121 West Elm Plaza, Lima, Ohio, 45805) or at Marysville Art League (264 West 5th Street, Marysville, Ohio) by Thursday, April 18 at 4 p.m.
Please contact the location prior to dropping off artwork to assure staff is available.
