MANSFIELD — Two men from Detroit were arrested and guns and drugs were seized Wednesday during a METRICH raid at 57 Brickman Ave., in Mansfield, authorities said.
METRICH issued a press release Thursday morning detailing an investigation prompted by neighborhood complaints of drug trafficking. While at the residence, detectives reported gathering information to establish probable cause for a search warrant.
Officials noted the search turned up three firearms, a .380 Bersa, a 556 FMK AR-15 and a 44 Ruger. Detectives also reported finding 59 grams of cocaine and digital scales. The METRICH release stated Terrence Sudberry was arrested for two felonies: possession of cocaine and having weapons under a disability, while Martel Seals was arrested for felony possession of cocaine.
On Tuesday, METRICH arrested Brittany Sue Jaynes for drug possession after reportedly finding Oxycodone Hydrochloride tablets during a raid at 781 Sunset Blvd. Apt. 7. Later that same day, another investigation was conducted at a business at 441 N. Main St., where marijuana and heroin was found during a search of vehicles.
Lt. Joy Stortz thanked community members for continuing to reach out to local law enforcement and report drug activity in their neighborhoods.
“This continued effort will make our community a safer place to live,” Stortz said. “Citizens can call the METRICH crime tip hotline at 419-52-CRIME (419-522-7463) or 419-755-9728 to report suspected drug activity.”
