MANSFIELD, Ohio (UPDATED at 4 p.m. ) — The KeyBank on Ashland Road in Mansfield was robbed by a woman on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1 p.m., according to authorities.

A Richland County Sheriff press release described the suspect as a white female, approximately 5 feet 6 inches. According to a photograph released to the sheriff’s department, the woman wore a gray winter coat, multi-colored scarf, a purple knitted hat, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and black leather gloves.

She fled on foot headed out of the bank toward Rite Aid on Ashland Road. According to the press release, the suspect had a raspy voice and handed a note to the bank teller demanding money. A weapon was not observed.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and the FBI was notified.

No one was injured during the incident. KeyBank closed following the robbery.
