Alan Eugene Karbula, 75, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
Alan was born November 30, 1947 in Mansfield, OH. He was the son of Albert and Pauline (Gilbert) Karbula. Alan was retired from Sabbon Robins, and formerly worked in the dairy department at Meijer. He served as a United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. Alan was a member of the VFW Post #9943 in Mansfield, and the Owls Club. Alan enjoyed mushroom hunting, watching trains, and visiting old train stations. He was a faithful and dedicated viewer of the Weather Channel and CNN.
Alan is survived by his wife, Ginny Karbula; his son, Alan “AJ” Karbula Jr.; his sister, Kathy Kline; his in-laws, Joyce Karbula, Clayton Smith, Eugene (Dee) Smith, Sharon (Bart) Ducey, and Debbie (Charlie) Cochran; and other cherished family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael Karbula; and in-laws, Frank Kline and Grace Smith.
There will be no public services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
