The Kiwanis Club of Mansfield serves children in Mansfield all year round. This year for Richland Gives, Kiwanis is living its mission by helping to fulfill a transportation need for Friendly House to allow more children to participate in its programs.

Kiwanis is a service club that raises money and provides volunteers for other organizations in the community. The club impacts the community not only through donations to organizations such as Friendly House, but also by sponsoring four high school Key Clubs, two middle school Builder’s Clubs, an elementary level K Kids Club, and Aktion Club for individuals at Richland Newhope.

This year’s major project for the club is all about Friendly House. Kiwanis Club of Mansfield has been involved with the Friendly House since 1922. This year’s Richland Gives campaign involves raising money for a second mini bus for the Friendly House.

There are currently children on a waiting list for Friendly House programming due to lack of transportation, and Kiwanis of Mansfield is looking to change that.
