LOUDEN TOWNSHIP (THIS STORY WAS UPDATED AT 11:45 A.M.) – A woman was killed and three others injured, including two children, in a Monday night crash in Seneca County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
According to the Norwalk Post, a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was being driven east on Township Road 112 with four occupants. After passing another vehicle, the Equinox drove off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned several times.
A front-seat occupant, Patricia J. Standley, 27, of Fostoria, who was not wearing a seat-belt, was ejected. She was pronounced deceased at the scene and was transported to Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
A second front-seat occupant, Devlin T. Houghtland, 24, who was not wearing a seat-belt, sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
The rear right passenger, a 14-month-old child, who was secured in a child safety seat, was transported to Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
The rear left passenger, a 6-year-old child, who was not in a booster seat and was not wearing a seat-belt, suffered serious injuries and was flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo.
Alcohol and/or drug use is unknown at this time and the crash remains under investigation.
