Mary Rose McClurg, age 91, of Blooming Grove passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at home unexpectedly.

Born May 5, 1924 in Blooming Grove, she was the daughter of Walter F. and Bertha (Hill) Hirth. She married Elmer “Shorty” Forrest McClurg on September 29, 1945 and he preceded her on December 11, 1991.

She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1942 and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion. Mary was a clerk for North Bloomfield Township for many years. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters Dee (Gary) Fraizer, Sue (Dale) Ray and Hap (Bill) Christ all of Galion; grandchildren Terry (Dawn) Fraizer, Tom Fraizer and Jeremy (Becky) Ray; great grandchildren Tori Fraizer and Dustin Fraizer.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by son Patrick McClurg; infant sister Anna Elizabeth Hirth; brother Martin Hirth; granddaughters Jennifer Fraizer and Nancy McClurg and daughter-in-law Judy McClurg.

Private graveside services were held at Blooming Grove Cemetery.
