COLUMBUS, Ohio —State Representative Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) has announced that the State Controlling Board approved the release of $1,148,996.48 to The Ohio State University for the purpose of replacing sidewalks, parking lots, and curbs at the Mansfield Campus.

“As we continue to grow our campus district, it is imperative to keep up the infrastructure in order to maintain and attract new students,” said Romanchuk.

According to documents from the Office of Budget and Management, the parking lots and roadway asphalt paving are beyond their serviceable life and need major replacement. The project will also rebuild failed and deteriorated concrete curbs, gutters, and unsafe concrete sidewalks around the Ovalwood loop and driveway to the bookstore.
