Jane Senert Bernzott, 90, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, May 25, 2015. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio, on February 15, 1925, to Henry and Ethel (Finney) Senert.
A January 1943 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, she was employed at Richland Trust Bank as a “runner” and later as a secretary in the sales department at Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co. Jane retired in 1986 from Universal Equipment and Supply, Inc. in Mansfield as secretary-treasurer, a business she co-owned with her first husband, Sidney M. Earhart.
Jane was a member of Linden Road Presbyterian Church serving as deacon and was an active member of Presbyterian Women. She gave generously of her time to the American Red Cross, serving as a volunteer for many hours at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Jane was a member of the Mansfield Liederkranz and the Mansfield chapter of A.A.R.P.
She is survived by three nephews, John (Susan) Spear of Darien, IL, Joel (Cathy) Spear of Chicago, IL, and Jeffrey Spear of Marietta, OH; five great nephews, one great niece, two great-great nephews, and one great-great niece; and a brother-in-law, John W. Spear of Marietta, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward G. Bernzott; sister, Joan S. Spear of Marietta, OH; first husband, Sidney M. Earhart; and first cousin, Jean Windsor.
At Jane’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Private burial will take place in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Linden Road Presbyterian Church. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
