I am running for the position of Law Director for the City of Ontario, which, if elected, will be my first elected position. My goals, if elected, include representing the citizens of Ontario as if each one of them were my own legal client.

I will consider their best interests in my decision-making by strictly adhering to the laws of the City of Ontario. If new laws need to be written, I will conference with Council and the Mayor to ensure the new law is written with their approval taking into consideration the interests of the citizenry. Finally, if an issue comes forward that demands my attention; I will work with the Council and Administration to ensure the best possible outcome for the citizens of Ontario.

I was born and raised in Lexington, Ohio and graduated from Lexington High School in 1998. Upon graduating from Lexington, I attended Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio, where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a Minor in Politic Analysis in 2002. After Miami, I attended the University of Toledo for law school and graduate school. I graduated from the University of Toledo in 2005 with my Juris Doctor Degree as well as my Master of Business Administration. After the University of Toledo, I sat for, and passed, the July 2005 Bar Exam. Currently, I live with my wife and our two (2) bulldogs in Ontario, Ohio.

I began my legal career in January 2006 with Calhoun, Kademenos, Heichel, & Childress Co., L.P.A. (now Calhoun, Kademenos, & Childress Co., LPA) in Mansfield, Ohio where I specialized in Estate Planning, Corporate Law, Probate Law, Elder Law, Landlord Tenant Law, Collection Law, and Bankruptcy Law. On March 1, 2010 I began my own practice, Andrew J. Medwid, Attorney at Law, Ltd., where I currently practice Estate Planning, Corporate Law, Probate Law, Elder Law, Tax Law, and general Asset Protection.
