ASHLAND — The Ashland University women’s basketball team is riding a 71-game winning streak and gunning for a second straight national championship.
Unfortunately, while last year’s final leg of that journey played out in nearby Columbus (where AU fans could easily travel), this year’s tournament finishes in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
No worries. Ashland Source has you covered. With the financial sponsorship support of OhioHealth, we’ve sent columnist Adam Fox on the road to chronicle the Eagles every step of the way. Adam’s first story will publish Sunday and he’ll follow coach Robyn Fralick’s team every step of the way.
The No. 1-ranked Eagles (34-0) tangle with eighth-seeded Montana State Billings (25-11) on Monday at 7 p.m. in an Elite Eight matchup.
Ashland University is holding a free Watch Party on campus that is open to the public for that game. The watch party will be held in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center Eagles’ Nest and Student Center Auditorium. The Student Center is located at the corner of Claremont Avenue and King Road.
Coverage of Ashland University Eagles athletics is produced in partnership with OhioHealth, the official sports medicine provider for Ashland University.
