Coroner: Mansfield woman’s death includes ‘suspicious findings’

MANSFIELD — The Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Richland County Coroner’s Office and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation are using the words suspicious finding in their probe of a woman found dead last week at her Mansfield home.

Barbara A. Manley was found dead at her home at 1649 Frontier Trail Monday evening. 

“The results (of the autopsy) are pending further investigation,” Richland County Coroner’s investigator Bob Ball said. “There are a lot of suspicious findings. That’s all I can say right now.

“There are some really challenging pieces in this case.”
