Rebecca Kay Funston, 53, of Lexington passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Arbors of Mifflin. Rebecca was born on Dec. 19, 1963 in Mansfield to Eugene Dale and Annette Louise (Eastman) Funston.
A social butterfly, Rebecca loved being surrounded by her family and friends and she never met a stranger. She loved camping, shopping, traveling, attending fairs, family events and spending time with her furry four legged companions, Jenny and Sara whom she adored. When Rebecca relaxed you could find her looking at her favorite magazines, coloring in her coloring books or watching cartoons.
She is survived by her mother, Annette Funston; sister, Tammy Thoman; two brothers, Scott (Cathy) Funston and Marty Funston; and five nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene “Gene” Funston Jr.; sister, Mary Spore; and grandparents, Karl and Irene Eastman and Eugene and Iona Funston Sr.
There will be no services observed at this time. Burial will take place in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to New Hope Industries, 985 W. Longview Ave. Mansfield, Ohio 44906 or Richland County Humane Society, 3025 Park Ave. West Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
