Police arrest in handcuffs

BUCYRUS — Listed below are the Bucyrus Police calls from May 3

8;50 a.m. Officers assisted Life Support Team in the Bucyrus Plaza area.

9:30 a.m. Officers investigated a report of a residential break-in in the 100 block of Emerson St.

10:10 a.m. Officers investigated a report of a disturbance in the 200 block of Woodlawn Ave.

10:12 a.m. A report of possible child abuse was investigated and unfounded.

10:32 a.m. Officers assisted an elderly female who needed a welfare check on Rosedale Ave. and she was transported for evaluation.

11:11 a.m. Officers assisted with a traffic issue in the 100 block of N Poplar St.

11:24 a.m. Officers investigated a private property report in the 700 block of N Sandusky Ave. No report was needed as there was no damage to the vehicles.

11:47 a.m. Officers assisted with a traffic issue in the 2000 block of Nevada Rd. where a motorist had lost a small pile of brush.

11:56 a.m. A false alarm was received from the 1100 block of Ohio Dr.

12:09 p.m. A report of possible sexual abuse was received and remains under investigation.

12:46 p.m. A subject who was trespassing in the 100 block of E Mansfield St was asked to move along.

1:44 p.m. A disturbance in the 700 block of Sunset Dr. was a verbal dispute.

2:19 p.m. A private property collision report was taken at aisle 4 of the parking lot at Walmart.

2:26 p.m. A subject came on station to report a credit card theft.

3:02 p.m. A piece of carpet padding was removed from the roadway on Whetstone and John St.

3:26 p.m. A juvenile complaint was investigated in the 600 block of E. Oakwood Av.

4:06 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 200 block of E. Mary St.

4:25 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the area of Beal and Isaac Beal Rd.

4:44 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 600 block of Kaler Ave.

4:55 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the area of E. Mansfield and Stetzer Rd.

5:11 p.m. A report of a breaking and entering was taken on E. Lucas Street.

5:54 p.m. Officers attempted to serve a warrant on Marion Road.

6:01 p.m. A resident in the 600 block of Kaler Avenue reported a large sign in the area obstructing the view for traffic. Officers checked the area and the sign was not causing a problem.

6:11 p.m. Officers responded to a report of vandalism and larceny from a motor vehicle in the 100 block of W. Rensselaer St. The investigation led to the 300 block of E. Mansfield St. and Jeffrey Geist, 27, was arrested on charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia. He was issued minor misdemeanor citations for those charges and was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a probation violation.

6:35 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of Failor Street reported someone trespassing on the property. They left the area while still on the phone with the complainant.

6:46 p.m. A report of pedestrians on the railroad overpass on E. Mansfield Street was investigated. No one was located when officers arrived in the area.

6:55 p.m. A report of a small metal cap off a drain at the intersection of Sandusky and Southern Avenue was unfounded.

7:14 p.m. A property owner in the 100 block of Iron Street reported vehicles trespassing on his property. He was advised to consult with the zoning office as the vehicles in question were tearing down the old Clark Station.

7:41 p.m. A domestic disturbance in the 600 block of E. Rensselaer Street was resolved.

7:54 p.m. A report of a suspicious person yelling at people in the area of Lane and Mansfield Street was received.

10:14 p.m. Michael S. Miller, 44, was arrested on a charge of Obstructing Official Business. He was issued a summons to appear in court and released.

10:25 p.m. A domestic issue in the 700 block of Sunset Drive was mediated.

11:05 p.m. A report of loud noises from the end of Waterford Glen were portable generators.

Thursday, May 4

1:55 a.m. A traffic warning was issued in the area of Rensselaer and Iron Street.

3:07 a.m. A resident in the 1000 block of E. Beal Avenue reported someone knocking on their door; no one was located.

3:28 a.m. A resident in the 1700 block of Marion Road reported someone knocking on their door then running away; no one was located.

4:46 a.m. A male reported using an online app to meet someone and when he went to the address $100 was taken from him by others at the residence. Subsequently, he drove away and needed assistance when his car was stuck on the tracks at N. Spring St. and W. Galen St.
