Donald Ray Tackett, 55, was born Nov. 20, 1960 in Willard, Ohio, raised in Shiloh, Ohio, and passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio.
He was the son of Harry and Violet Tackett, now deceased.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; stepdaughter, Wendy; stepsons, James and Luke; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Laura) Tackett, of Shiloh, and Lloyd Tackett, of Columbus; sisters, Bonnie (Don) Tackett, of Delphi, Ohio, Esta Polachek, of Greenwich, Ohio, Linda Rowe, of Salyersville, Kentucky, Peggy Polachek, of Willard, Ohio, and Viola (Jim) Hutchison, of Willard, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was known in the area as an auto mechanic. He loved watching football and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved to cook and loved to eat and loved being with family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Newton B. Rowe and Gary Polachek; and three nieces, Stacey Bolen, Trinity Polachek, and Schenna Polachek.
Donald gave the gift of life with his organ donation to Life Line.
Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Messiah’s House of Prayer, 74 Petit Street, Shiloh, Ohio, officiated by Pastors Bill Howell, Ricky Branham, and Greg Griffith. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Shiloh, Ohio.
