CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ohio – Cheryl Harner will present a colorful power-point program on native plants and landscaping at Lowe-Volk Park on Monday, April 6 at 7 p.m.

The program will focus on attracting insects and animals people enjoy watching and how to avoid the pitfalls of attracting nature’s not-so-nice.

“Plant native plants, and add a little drama into your life” is the theme.

Cheryl Harner is interested in all forms of flora and fauna and fascinated by the connections between botany and wildlife. She is an avid gardener and life-long wildflower and butterfly enthusiast.

Her extensive volunteer work includes long-time leadership in Ohio Ornithological Society and Richland County Master Gardeners. She currently serves two land trust boards and works as an environmental educator and advocate for nature.
