A fund has been established at all local Richland Bank locations to assist members of an area family which lost a 9-year-old boy in a van-train accident March 21. The boy’s father remains hospitalized in Columbus with injuries sustained in the crash.
Donations may be made at any Richland Bank branch to the “Berry Family Benefit Fund.” All funds received will go to the family.

Gage Berry, 9, a fourth-grader at Galion Intermediate School, was pronounced dead at the Morrow County scene in Washington Township. He was a backseat passenger in a van that collided with a CSX train. The boy’s father Benjamin Berry, 42, of Galion, was transported to Grant Hospital in Columbus to be treated for serious injuries.

Benjamin Berry and his wife, Brandi, have two younger children at home.
