Recent data from the Mansfield Association of Realtors (MAR) shows that the number of real estate sales in Richland County is increasing.
Barbara Murray, Executive Officer at the MAR, stated, “While areas around us were really hurting in the past, Richland County sales were mostly at an even keel. Today, our stats are good and improving. Richland County is and I’m confident will always be able to hold its own.”
As of Tuesday, June 11 there were 581 residential properties for sale and the average asking price was $111,661 (low of $6,900 and high of $650,000).
“It’s hard to narrow down what kind of land or property that people are interested in buying. Richland County offers country, city, and village settings. We’re placed between Cleveland and Columbus and have great access with State Route 30 and Interstate 71. We have fantastic schools and strong community pride wherever you go in Richland County. Whatever people are interested in, our realtors are ready, able, and willing to accommodate,” said Murray.
The MAR has served the Richland County community for over 90 years.
Their website, www.mansfieldboard.com, allows both residents and buyers to see what properties are for sale. The MAR also offers a Central Lock System to its members and employees to help make it easier to buy and sell properties.
Murray mentioned, “We reinforce a code of ethics among the realty profession and protect consumers in that regard.”
The MAR also offers education to their realtors on the latest home-selling knowledge of real estate and the rules they have to abide by as far as state and federal.
Additionally, the MAR actively participates in giving back to the community by donating and raising money for different organizations, such as Children Services.
“Members at MAR are busy and I’ve seen a renewal of energy. Don’t get me wrong, there are still challenges in the market with short sales and foreclosures, and lenders are being cautious. But realtors at MAR are capable and ready to serve,” said Murray.
