Donald W. Weary, 83, of rural Loudonville, died Saturday evening, Jan. 10, 2015 in Hospice of North Central Ohio, Ashland, following a short illness. Don was born Sept. 12, 1931 in Wooster and was the son of the late Ralph and Opal Mae (Denny) Weary. He was a 1949 graduate of Wooster High School and a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He had lived in the Loudonville area since 1958 and was a lifelong farmer. Don loved fishing and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Boat Club.
He is survived by three nieces and nephews and his friends, Jim and Brenda Atkinson of Loudonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, William G. Weary.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 1:30 p.m.in Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with Rev. David Koehler of Loudonville Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Fredericksburg. Friends may call Wednesday from 1 until 1:30 p.m.in the funeral home.
