MANSFIELD: Arlene Rhodes passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 in her Mansfield home surrounded by her family. She was 82.

She was born March 3, 1932 to parents Russell M. & Ellen (Todd) Ward in Clarksville, PA. On September 2, 1956 she married Samuel T. Rhodes and together they raised four daughters. She dedicated her life to making a warm and caring home.

In spare time, she took pleasure in reading. But above all, Arlene was family-oriented and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her loving kindness and for her famous cabbage rolls (and the good times she had rolling them with her daughters and friend Traci).

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Samuel Rhodes of Mansfield; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Joan Meikrantz of Mansfield, Bethanne & Kenneth Morgan of Clarksville, PA, and Gwenn & David Rose of Savannah, OH; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Dana & Adrian McMillan, Elijah Bleu Kiggans, Jesse Kiggans, Michael Morgan, Megan Morgan, Mark Porter, Dana & Seth Hart, and Lindsay Rose; four great-grandchildren: Mason, Isaac, Kennedy, and Camden; and a sister Jean Malone of Morgantown, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter A. Janet (and husband Bobby) Kiggans.

The family will receive friends at Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street in Fredericktown, PA. Burial will be held at a later date in Buckingham Cemetery.
