Paul Eugene Brown

Paul Eugene Brown, 91, of Mansfield, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Oak Grove Manor. Born September 20, 1923 in Dennison, Ohio, he was the son of Robert H. and Hazel K. (Emberly) Brown. 

He attended school at Uhrichsville through Junior High then moved to Mansfield and graduated from Union Rural High School. He had worked at Mansfield Saving Trust National Bank and retired from Toledo Trust in June of 1985. Paul was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.

He is survived by a niece, Cynthia Tittl of Akron; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clayton and Ruth Moore of Shenandoah; seven nieces and four nephews; and special friends, Jane Walter Wehinger and Rita Reece. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Mildred M. “Millie” (Moore) Brown and a brother, Robert R. Brown. 

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Dr. Gary Wilson. Full military honors conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will follow the service at the funeral home with burial to follow in Shenandoah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayflower Congregational Church Memorial Fund.
