Morris E. Fox, 90, of Mansfield passed away January 3, 2015 at MedCentral Health System.
Morris was born July 1, 1924 in Dickinson County, VA to George and Blanche Beam Fox. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II, and later retired from Mansfield Tire in 1979. Morris was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his children George (Arlene) Fox of Mansfield, Anna Marie (Nick) Sertell of Green, Patricia (Carol Watkins) Fox of Arizona; granddaughters Jennifer Fox-Rodefeld, Mary (Jason) Tripp, Beth (Stephan Thompson) Sertell; great-grandchildren Kylie Rodefeld, Caleb and Matthew Tripp, Ella Thompson; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Mascazine Fox, eight brothers, and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 Thursday at St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church with Fr. Nelson Beaver officiating. Friends may call one hour prior at the church. Following the funeral, military services will be provided by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s School.
