LaDonna Vrabel, 89, of Mansfield went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 6, 2014 after a long illness.
LaDonna was born July 4, 1925 in Greenwich to Russell and Anna Shambs Harrison. She devoted a lot of time to her granddaughter, Elaine while being involved in her many activities. LaDonna enjoyed cooking new recipes, gardening and assisting in church activities such as bible school and children’s ministries.
Survivors include her children Peggy (Stephen) Harris of Spring City, TN, Dan Vrabel of Mansfield, Bill (Michele) Vrabel of Shelby; grandchildren Elaine, Eric, Elizabeth, Mike; two great-grandchildren; sisters Genevieve (Frank) Malagamba, Christine Martini, all of Akron; half-sister Karen (Richard) Jourdan; half-brothers Kenneth (Phyllis) Harrison, Gary Harrison; step-sisters Carol (Vaughn) Bumpus, Phyllis (Jack) Brezina; many nieces, nephews and other relatives; and special and faithful caregivers Taretha Amstutz and Leslie Goble.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William R. Vrabel, sister Eleanor Kirkpatrick, step-brother Charles Brown; step-mother Elma Harrison.
Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, on Thursday, December 11, from 12-2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm at the funeral home with Denny Nezrick officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Free Church.
