Stentz will complete the term of Deanna West-Torrence, who recently resigned. The term runs through Dec. 31, 2025.

Stentz, a Mansfield resident, has a bachelor of arts degree in English from The Ohio State University and has worked in the writing center at OSU-Mansfield and also as a substitute teacher at Mansfield City Schools.

Stentz was a special events director and office assistant at Mansfield First Assembly of God Church and was a school-family liaison with the Mansfield Spanish Immersion School.

She has done extensive volunteer work in the community, including with the Mansfield City Schools SAFE Program, Mid-Ohio Youth Mentoring, the Mansfield United Soccer Club and the Woodland Club.

Also on Tuesday, commissioners accepted the retirement request from longtime maintenance superintendent Chuck Minnich, effective May 11.
